I've always wanted to call a little girl Sonny. I've stumbled across a name Sunniva ( an Irish Saint) it means "sun gift" pronounced "sun-eva". I rather like it and it gives the possibility of Sunni, neve, eve or Eva as NN.
I'm a child care worker so I've also said no to a lot of my husbands names suggestions as I have looked after a child with that name and already associate it with someone. It might seem silly but I can't help it

My granny was a kindergarten teacher, and she has told us how she always nixed names of kids that she had taught, so I totally get it! What about Susannah/Susanna nn Sunny?
