Pronouciation help - French or Danish speakers...

I've been thinking about Lys as a potential name for another girl (ttc for number 2 at the moment and hubby feels he's destined to have 2 girls so... )
I know it's French for Lilly and Danish for light. So I'm interested do French and Danish speakers pronounce it the same?
Even if you don't speak either language how would you pronounce it.
    Thanks
    K

I do not speak French or Danish, but I would pronounce Lys either Liss or Lies.

In Danish we put a lot of pressure on the Y, and at the same time our Y's sound very different than the English Y's. The forvo link is great.
