Spelling of names on nameberry - use of 0, @ etc.
Im just wondering why people write names with numbers etc instead of letters? for example L@nd0n or Ch@rl0tte?

It's for privacy reasons, but it makes no sense, because the name is clearly readable...Madison, 14-year-old name nerd! My style is all over the place, my favorites change all the time.

It's so the names don't pop up in google searches. I do it when the name is special and I don't necessarily want to call that person out by name on a website they know nothing about.

I do it for unique names or names of people I know, for Google searches as well.
