    George

We're thinking about naming our son George. A middle name starting with "S" would be ideal in order to honor my husband's grandfather, Sidney.

What do you think of George?

We've thought about George Samuel, George Sidney, or George Segal (which is a family name). I also love George Arthur, but Arthur doesn't start with "S".

    Any other bright ideas?

I quite love George Samuel! What about:

    George Simon/George Simeon
    George Solomon
    George Silas
    George Spencer
    George Sawyer
    George Sebastian
George Soren (kind of heavy on the "or" sounds, though)
    George Silvain

    Good luck!

I like George Samuel okay. Sidney is the direct honouring, which could be cool but I don't like the name in itself, if you know what I mean.

    Other S's I like:
    George Spencer
    George Sterling
    George Samson
    George Stephen
    George Solomon
    George Sebastian

I'd go for George Sidney... to me, family history trumps everything. It's great to give a child the legacy of an ancestor's name...
