BUT! Let's not turn this into a thing and hijack the thread.

Congratulations to @Ottilie, and good luck!
Well, the Pope seems to be sticking firmly to the "every sperm is sacred" doctrine, so I think it's fair to poke a little harmless fun at Catholics for eschewing birth-control. Of course there are exceptions, free-thinking Catholics like yourself... because considering the name Darwin Elliot for a son is exceptionally free-thinking for a Catholic! ;-) I cast my vote with Crispin. Beautiful name.

Tillietallie- Congratulations officially! I just can't wait two whole weeks to get excited about this baba. How are you feeling little fruit-bat?

Blade; I talked to my midwife yesterday, and we agreed to reschedule the appointment for another two weeks. She usually doesn't see anyone until at least 8 weeks, and she thought (from what I told her) that I's be between four and seven weeks, so there's really no point in me coming in. Especially as the only pregnancy I've had was healthy and successful. But if I change my mind, she can see me sooner (I'm using a private service, so they're a bit more flexible than NHS).
All hail BUPA! Great and good luck!

Incidentally for Father's Day I cooked! I made habanero chicken cacciatore and roasted garlic brussel sprouts; are you proud? The kitchen is still recovering.
