German name (German root, through the Normans)... so it's a bit like how people say Jasper, Casper, etc. are Persian... they have a Persian root. However, I actually did know a German Harmon... but I've also mostly known German hippie types (hence why I assumed it was pure German... my mistake). In either case, I am neither German nor British... so it would probably qualify as "international" for me...

I have a pretty hefty mix of cultural ties, so I feel like I could "get away with" using names from languages other than English fairly easily if I were raising my kids in Canada because a lot of the international names I love are either names that go with my family's lineage (German/Austrian/Transylvanian Saxon, Hungarian, Romanian, Scottish), or with my own living experiences (French, Spanish, Basque, Catalan/ Valencian).
Rafael (not gonna lie, I like this because I like Rafa Nadal)
Pau- I'd totally use this!
* = couldn't/wouldn't use for a cultural/ linguistic reason (ie: I'm not Italian, Turkish, Irish, Russian, Portuguese, or Dutch)Lucia
