    The word pious means "loyal; devoted". It usually means to a deity, but you could think of it in more general terms. Loyalty is a good trait to have; I think of a good friend. The dictionary also listed the example of giving "a pious effort" to something, so being devoted to accomplishing a task. It could be used for someone who doesn't give up easily, someone who focuses on accomplishing their goals, like stubborn, but about good things LOL!

    With Agnes, I like Indira and Mayuri. By the way, peacocks (Mayuri) have an almost opposite symbolism for Indians - they symbolize calmness, peace, wisdom, kindness.
