Most popular names - birth announcements from my local hospital
Spent the morning weeding through the last 500 babies born at my local hospital (midwestern U.S.). It was an interesting exercise in regional variation! Here are the top names for boys and girls. I've also listed some of the more kre8tiv spellings I came across.
Carly (6) -- including spelling Carli -- so interesting, considering that Carly didn't even chart in the top 100 in my state!
Nora (6) -- including spelling Norah
Abigail (4) -- including spelling Abbigail
Sophia (4) -- including spelling Sofia
Adelyn (3) -- including spellings Adeline and Adalynne
Aubrey (3) -- including spellings Aubree and Aubri
Avery (3) -- all girls
Caitlin (3) -- including spelling Katelyn
Claire (3) -- including spelling Klaire
Eliana (3) -- including spellings Elliana and Elyanna
Emerson (3) -- all girls
Lila (3) -- including spelling Lyla
Mackenzie (3) -- including spelling Machenzie
Madelyn (3) -- including spelling Madeleine
Quinn (3) -- all girls
Riley (3) -- all girls
Aidan (7) -- including spellings Aiden and Ayden
Colin (5) -- including spellings Collin and Kolynn
Carson (4) -- including spelling Carsen
Matthew (3) -- including spelling Matthue
And now for some kre8tiv spellings:
Klaire (are these last two in homage to the Kardashian K-name trend?)
And some I really love on the list:

Baby #4 will be the last for us, so I am kind of sad to be saying goodbye to the beloved names I will now never use! At least I can still come here to encourage others to use them!
Girls: Bridget, Elizabeth, Felicity, Helena, Marianne, Violet, Penelope, Ophelia, Isadora, Victoria
