    To be honest, Eirwen looks so much prettier compared to Ayrwen. I think you will have to explain the pronunciation either way, so in that case, I would use the original spelling. Arwen is a nice alternative if you're looking for something with a more intuitive pronunciation.

    I think if I saw Eirwen, I would pronounce it "ayr-wen" or "ear-wen" but when I saw "Ayrwen" I thought "air-wen."

    It was the first pronunciation I thought of and read. I think it's understandable. It is pretty, if a bit trendy looking.
    I think I'd spell it Eriwen -- but then my mn is Erin so that just makes sense to me.
