    Question thoughts on Halloran??

    Hey berries!

Well I'm back again to get your opinions on a name!

I recently came across the name Halloran, I'd never heard it before and thought it was pretty cool

It's a Gaelic name (mostly a surname) so there's not much info on it, the meaning Nameberry and other sources indicate is along the lines of "a man from over seas" or mysterious foreigner etc. which is a near meaning too

It's definitely growing on me, so what is your personal opinion?

    TIA!

**note: I'm pronouncing the name as "hal-ur-in", correct me if I'm mistaken!

Not my taste. Hal could be a good nickname.

I do like the NN Hal, but the name Halloran feels strange to me. It almost sounds like someone with an accent saying halloween or halogen (as in light bulbs)

I'm going to agree with Javad. I first thought of Halloween, Hell, and Hello. Hal is a cool nn, but I'm not big on Halloran. It could be a nice mn.
