    I say veer-ah... actually maybe close to vee-rah now that I think about it. Like the singer Dame Vera Lynn. I'm Canadian but listen to a lot of music and read a lot of news from Britain, so that may affect how I pronounce things in general...

    VEER-uh for me - I've never heard it pronounced any other way. I quite like the look of Vera and think it's lovely in the middle name spot - though it can, of course, work in the first name spot.

    Veer-a, but I go light on that "ee" sound. I think I actually say it right in the middle of Veer-a and Vare-a.
