Hermione is a lovely name and definitely not "too Harry Potter"! It has a lovely history before Harry Potter, and Hermione Granger is definitely not a bad association!

After thinking about it, I *think* I can move past the meaning and just love the name Violet. My husband actually likes it and I talked about it with my Mum tonight and she does too (they bith laughted when i suggested Hermione though!) I'm not in love with the name yet but I think I could get there if we found a middle name that we liked with it. Any suggestions?
