    Amusingly I was going to suggest Annabelle until I realised you already had one!

    What about Viola instead of Violet? It looks less like violent (which has always been my issue with Violet) and is very much the flower rather than the colour. And the Shakespearean link is positive.

    I like Viola but I know that unfortunately my husband won't. He is a musician so I know he will think of the instrument and make a comment like "Why don't we just call the baby Flute or Cello if you want to use Viola?" He struggles to see past his first thought when thinking about names, it can be very frustrating!
