Thread: My little springtime blossom
June 10th, 2013 09:57 PM #51
Okay, now I've had a chance to read through the rest of the thread and go see your hospital photos. I'm kind of in LOVE with the one of you and your little Persephone.
Are you calling her Sephy for short? But some people decided to bypass it altogether and call her Willow?? Or you are calling her full Persephone only and people are calling her Sephy or Willow? I didn't quite follow. Some people are so rude about unusual names. Some of my husband's extended family tried to call our Caspian C.J. because they couldn't cope with Caspian. We put the kibosh on that, but we said they could call him Ian if they wanted. It never did stick, because we always called him by his full name. :-P
So glad that your induction went so well and the epidural worked out! I know another lady who birthed sidelying, it was the only way her baby would cooperate. You do what works! Congrats!

Sorry it's a little late, I always forget to check the announcements section, but congrats! Rowan was also 8.1 lbs and 19 1/2 inches, how cool. Persephone is beautiful.
Don't let people push you around with her name. Call her what you want to call her and people will get used to it and grow to love it eventually. My cherished daughter, Rowan Jane. ~b. 10/2011~

Congrats! The photos are all so beautiful. I agree with everyone else; put your foot down about her name! We have a Persephone at my daycare, and her parents first announced they would call her Effy, but then they never did. She has always gone by her full name (she's a little over 2 now) and no one has ever had trouble with it. Good luck with everything!Girls: Cordelia, Phoebe, Rose
Boys: Lucian, Alexander, Liam
