If you need an awesome reference for a real world Ptolemy, here is the only one I know. He happens to be the cutest little boy on the planet, as far as I can tell, and he is the charge of two Airedale Terriers, my all-time favorite breed of dog.

Here he is as just a little baby:

...and here he is at his current age; such a handsome, intelligent, sweet-natured little man. If I have a son, I hope he is just a precious as this Ptolemy!

I don't know if this will help at all, but it seems like a lot of your worry is based on how your son might act as a kid (and it sounds like little boys are pretty loud/dirty/crazy!). I'm a worrier too, so I can't say I blame you for your concerns. Maybe you could try to picture in your mind who he will be as an adult - who he will be to you and your daughters. Maybe he will be someone who is strong and supportive and who loves you in a unique and special way. I'm no expert, but its possible. Name this man - not the loud kid.
I actually stumbled upon this technique when my oldest was in preschool. Remembering that little boys grow up to be thoughtful, considerate, strong men.
Pondering names for a hypothetical #7. Current favorites: Grace Elizabeth and Lucy Caroline
