The city I was raised in is pronounced exactly like the name Nina. I think it's pretty, but I'm not sure if I would use it.

Alabama is a very, very guilty pleasure. I (and my son/daughter) would have to be the Shooter Jennings type to pull it off though.

Nope, would never do it, but I never lived in a pretty sounding state (Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota)

Also, I'm not a fan of place names, I do come close though since I love the name Caroline (Carolina) and like the name Georgina (Georgia)

As for cities, it really depends, I don't like using names of major cities, but there are cities named Victoria and Eugene (and so on), which I think are totally fine, as long as I don't live there!

Not the city or state I lived in, though the risk is they you or they move to that place at a later date...

I guess it depends. I like the name Stockton, but I don't live there. I'm not too partial to place names.
