    Help with names!

    Hello Berries,

I have been a lurker here for quite some time, and finally convinced my wife that we should make an account. I am 18 weeks pregnant with our first baby, and we're both so excited! We agreed to wait awhile until we started thinking up names, and now it's time!

As much as I am dying to know the sex, Is wanted to be surprised, so we need names for both. We would like two to three names for each gender so we have options once we actually see the baby. As far as styles go, I like names that are uncommon but not too "out there" and Is likes mostly nature/word names, some of which are too out there for me!

Some names that have been vetoed for one reason or another are: Juniper, Fox, Anneliese, Archer, Grayson, Rupert, and Meadow.

Please help us; we are all over the place and welcome any and all suggestions. We are only focusing on first names for now; I'll probably do a separate thread for middles once we [hopefully] get a solid list going.

    Thanks in advance,

    Katy and Isabel

Thank you both for your suggestions. We're going to make one big list and try to narrow it from there. The names we both like from these suggestions are:

Ever (but only as a nickname. Any full name suggestions?)
    Willow
    Violet
Leo (maybe too popular. What are your favorite longer forms?)
    Arlo
    River (for a boy only)

    Does anyone else have suggestions?

Everly instead of Ever? unisex, but pretty on a girl
Rowan - I like it for a boy, but it can be used on a girl too
Rain - also unisex, prefer it on a girl
    Wren/Ren - unisex - wren like the bird/Ren means lotus - I love Ren for a boy!
    Larkin - boy
    Lark - girl
    Eden - girl
    Haven - unisex
Hayes - boy - sounds like haze
Leland - boy - means meadow land
