Will Cora get mispronounced Cara a lot?

My DH and I have finally both settled on a girl's name we love, Cora. My only doubt is that its so similar to the more well-known name Cara, which isn't one of my favorite names. I'm worried our little girl would be called Cara a lot, which would annoy me. Anyone have any experience with the name Cora (your name, your child's name, friend's name, etc.) and know if this happens a lot?

I don't think it will be a problem unless the name Cara is really popular in your area. In 2012, according to ssa.gov, Cara was #695 and Cora was #155, and in the past Cora has generally been more popular than Cara. So I'm sure people will be at least as familiar with the name Cora as the name Cara.
    Favorite names at the moment:

    Andre Larion

Other names I like: Veronica Vivian Lydia Octavia Bianca Flora Zulima Augustine Elsa Avalon Zamora Carmina

I've loved the name Cora ever since 'The last of the mohicans'. Great choice! There's no chance of mispronunciation, don't worry.
