Australia's weirdest baby names
Parenting website The Baby Centre has compiled its annual list of Australia's weirdest baby names. Each name was given to at least two children in Australia in 2012. More comprehensive list here: http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/par...-1226536009955.
These are my personal favourites from the list (fifteen for each gender). Interestingly, the list also includes a couple of nameberry favourites for girls - Orchid and, to a lesser extent, Queenie. Good luck to the children given these monikers...First baby due on September 7, 2015!
Audrey - Beatrice - Clara - Daphne - Jane - Margaret - Susannah - Violet
August - Barnaby - Edward - Frederick - Henry - Rupert - Theodore - Walter

A lot of those names are laugable (Shoog?!?!?!) and I think Orchid and Queenie aren't that bad for girls. Leeloo is nice sounding, though Lilou is much prettier. Is it bad that I like the name Cobain for a boy? It's mostly due to the fact I'm a huge Nirvana fan, but I really do like how Cobain sounds. Maybe if it becomes more mainstream I'd consider naming it to my future son... but as for now it's a guilty pleasure ;_;A 17 year old girl with a penchant for names (◡‿◡✿)
