Since we have a decent book thread going... what about movies?

Since the book recommendation thread has been so much fun to keep up with, shall we start a movie recommendation thread too?

    What are your favorite movies?

I think the recent Lincoln film was fantastic. My husband and I saw it twice. Daniel Day-Lewis' acting for the role of Abraham Lincoln was absolutely phenomenal. He did an incredible job of recreating Lincoln based on research, even using a tone of voice and walking with a specific gait that were described in correspondence between Lincoln's friends and relatives.

And of course I will always promote the Narnia films for family viewing, particularly The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It has an eerily beautiful soundtrack--I walked down the aisle to one of the scores--and the setting is just enchanting.

...I also can't say enough good things about The Emperor's Club and Take the Lead. Very wholesome and inspiring movies. Oh! And the first Karate Kid!
