There seems to be some confusion. Amalie is the German version of Amelia and is pronounced differently than the French spelling Amélie.
    All the best,

Yep. It's also the name that the Dutch crown princess goes by. In my regular American speech, I'd pronounce it AH-muh-lee. I believe the Dutch and German pronunciation would be ah-MAH-lee-uh. For reference, I would say Amelie as AH-meh-lee and Amélie as ah-may-LEE. Or something like that.

In English, I pronounce Amelie as AH-muh-lee.

In French, Amélie is ah-meh-LEE, with stress on the last syllable.
