I think it could work for any D name. I used to babysit a girl named Delilah who went by didi. I think it could also work if you use the initials dd.

Thanks everyone! I'm liking the less obvious ones--names that don't start with D. Some great suggestions here! I love Adelaide, Sadie, Sidonie, Adelia, Elodie and Madeline.... Although my husband likes more common names and will probably go for Madeline over the others. I like Madeline, but my sister used it as a MN for her daughter....

Personally, I think any D- name or with a dee- sound in it would work. I love Delia, personally. My uncle's GF is named Dinara, which is somewhat uncommon yet pretty and would fit.
I've known two people who went by Didi. One was my grandmother, whose full name was Odile. Another was named Alet@, but somehow she ended up with Didi when she was born because her sister couldn't pronounce the full name.Estella ~ Helena ~ Miriam ~ Beatrice ~ Anastasia ~ Ivy ~ MarillaPaul ~ Wesley ~ Walter ~ Martin ~ Edmund ~ Fraser ~ Alexander
