Troy - Troy Bolton (High School Musical) - No, I more think "battle of Troy, Helen of Troy" than HSM.
Toby - Toby Ziegler (West Wing) - I don't know what this is, so no.
Ryder - Flynn Ryder (Tangled) - No, but I do think "ride her" which isn't great.
Sawyer - Tom Sawyer (by Mark Twain) - Yes, but that's not bad.
Casper - the ghost - Yes.
Adam - the Addams family - No. If you named him Fester, I would... but Adam no. I think more "Adam and Eve" than Addams Family.
Caspian - Prince Caspian (a Chronicles of Narnia movie) - Yes.
Everett - Mt. Everest - No. They're different.
Cullen - Twilight - Absolutely yes.
Hudson - the Hudson river - Yes, but that's not a bad thing.
Atticus - Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird) - Sort of. Not really, since I never read the book.
Carter - US president Jimmy Carter - No. There's so many boys named Carter, I don't think this is a common association anymore.
Charlotte - "The Charlotte" (a boat in National Treasure) - No, I think "Charlotte's Web".
Scarlett - Gone with the wind, the Scarlett Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne) - Not really.
Cosette - Les Miserables - Yes."I have found the one whom my soul loves"

Troy - I would more likely think of the ancient kingdom, but not really that bad an association. Mostly it's just a name
Toby - no associations
Ryder - no, but there are too many issues for me with it being rider/ride her
Sawyer - not automatically
Casper - yes, but I still like the name
Adam - nope, I think of the "first man" but the name has been used forever and a day, so it doesn't really matter
Caspian - yes
Everett - nope
Cullen - yes
Hudson - yes, but that doesn't mean you cannot use it
Atticus - yes
Carter - no because I knew a Carter as a kid
Charlotte - definitely not! Charlotte is used all over the place
Scarlett - it's pretty widely used, but Scarlett O'Hara is a famous bearer
Cosette - yes, but I don't think that means you can't use it!~* Not Expecting, Just Collecting *~
Beatrix | Bryony | Cordelia | Eloise | Felicity | Guinevere | Matilda | Penelope | Tabitha | Winifred

Troy - Maybe.... I think more of Greece than HSM, but I watched that movie a lot when I was younger. I don't think a lot of people would make that connection though.
Toby - no, I've never seen West Wing
Ryder - no
Sawyer - yes
Casper - yes
Adam - I think of the bible, so no.
Caspian - yes, but I still think its usable and adorable
Everett - no
Cullen - yes
Hudson - yes, but a lot of people are using it so I think most people wouldn't think about that
Atticus - yes, absolutely yes.
Carter - No, I actually thought of Jay-z. But I don't think a lot of people would make either of those connections
Charlotte - I've never seen National Treasure, so no. And Charlotte is so popular right now that no one is thinking about that.
Scarlett - Yes to GWTW, but I think that its still really usable. I haven't read the Scarlett Letter yet, so I don't think of that
Cosette - yes, but I think you could still use it. Its so adorable! Definitely a GP of mine

Troy - Troy Bolton (High School Musical) nope, and I was a high school musical junkie as a teen!
Toby - Toby Ziegler (West Wing) -no
Ryder - Flynn Ryder (Tangled) - only now that you brought it up
Sawyer - Tom Sawyer (by Mark Twain) - no, I think of Sawyer from Lost
Casper - the ghost - yes very much, though I still like the name
Adam - the Addams family - not even a little
Caspian - Prince Caspian (a Chronicles of Narnia movie) - yes
Everett - Mt. Everest - not at all
Cullen - Twilight - yes, and I love the name, so it's unfortunate.
Hudson - the Hudson river - no
Atticus - Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird) - yes, very much so
Carter - US president Jimmy Carter - no
Charlotte - "The Charlotte" (a boat in National Treasure) - not at all. If anything, Charlotte's Web
Scarlett - Gone with the wind, the Scarlett Letter - somewhat, but not strongly (Nathaniel Hawthorne) -not really
Cosette - Les Miserables - only slightly because of the new movie release
I think once you meet a child with these names, the associations become weaker, because your association with the kid is stronger.

Troy - I think of you know TROY the city and Helen and half-dressed sexy greek men with swords. lol.
Toby - Toby Ziegler (West Wing) yes Ziegler too but only after considering all the Toby's I knew growing up (must be at least 5 or 6)
Ryder - no association
Sawyer - Tom Sawyer (by Mark Twain) - I think Tom Sawyer is most of the appeal of this name.
Casper - Kasper and the German Childrens Kasperletheatre
Adam - I think of Adam and even and my HSBF's best friend.
Caspian - Prince Caspian (a Chronicles of Narnia) - me too.
Everett - Rupert Everett which just makes me love this name so much more.
Cullen - Twilight - sadly this and the process of culling.
Atticus - Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird) - of course, who doesn't?
Carter - I think Jack Carter from Eureka.
Charlotte - I actually think of Charlottes Web (and my cousin Carlotta).
Scarlett - Gone with the wind, the Scarlett Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne) - yeah I think of these too but despite their dramatic stories I kind of love the passion behind both of these characters. A lot.
Cosette - Les Miserables - no but a distant aunt of mine is a Cosette so I associate the name with her....if my husbands has no vote, then....
Endora & Lorelei / Dexter & Gideon
...we are newlyweds and not trying...yet...
