I prefer Avonlea but it reminds me of the cosmetics company called Avon which is rather big in Britain.

Avenley looks and sounds like a modern invention. Someone thought that Avonlea wasn't unique enough (ok, whatever?) so they spelled it phonetically. It seems trendy and so cutesy that I can't imagine anyone over the age of ten with this name.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

I'd read the books and name her Avonlea. I'd never make the connection with Avon because it's not pronounced the same.

Avenley is a very pretty sound, but it looks like somebody wanted to name their child Ava Lee but didn't like the popularity so they tried to be tricky.

I too would think Avenley started with a long A like Avery or Ava. I think Avonlea is lovely and doesn't connote the make-up company. If the parents were familiar with Anne of Green Gables, so much the better, but I think it'd be pretty either way!
