Yes I'd pronounce Avonlea exactly the same as Avenley. A as in arrow, vonlea as in heavenly.

Spelling it Avonlea saves the name, but if I met a kid with this name whose parent hadn't read the books I would be disgusted. If you're not an Ann(e) fan, stick to Avenly.
