    Thoughts on Toby/Tobie

I really love the name Toby, just not sure it fits with our last name which is Levy (2 long eee sounds).

We could name him Tobias which sounds better with our ln and just call him Toby, but DH doesn't see the point in Tobias if we only ever call him Toby.

I'm also considering the same name spelled Tobie for a girl ( just Tobie, not short for anything)

Any thoughts?? Too rhymey with our last name?

    TIA

I would not use Tobie for a girl. It is a manly name... leave it for the boys. I do not think that Toby goes well with Levy, sorry. I'd avoid all names ending in an L, IE/ Y/ I.

I agree with this. I personally don't find Toby, in the least, appealing.

I think Toby is fine with your last name. It's not the greatest but it's not terrible, either!

Toby for a boy or girl does not work with your last names.
I like simple yet versatile names that work well for the athlete, the comic, the genius, and the judge.
