I think it's lovely...I've known several and what I love about it is how well it works in multiple languages..you could travel and live all over the world with the name Milena and it would be familiar. I know a couple Polish Milenas, a Bulgarian Milena, an Italian Milena, etc. Actually, it would have been DH's name had he been a girl.
Exactly what I am looking for! An international name that's easy to pronounce, recognizable, clearly feminine... Would a little Latina Milena work?

Yes, I think a Latina named Milena would work, for sure! The beauty of Milena is in the fact that it's a pretty global name which travels the world.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

I pronounce it as mee-LE-nah, so I guess I'm the odd one out!

    I think it's a very beautiful name.

I pronounce it meh-LEE-na. I think it's a really pretty name! Do you worry about the rising popularity, though?
Just a teenage writer with a fascination for names!
