    Sister for Cora

Hi folks. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to posting but spent countless hours scouring this website during my last pregnancy! We named DD1 Cora which I had always loved and which I managed to sell to my initially unsure DH in the basis that it is old fashioned yet uncommon. I am now expecting again and struggling to find a girls name I love as much as Cora. I would like something of a similar vintage but without being too popular. So far I have come up with Elise (DH vetoed), Ella (works well as derived from both granny's names but getting quite popular) and Emmie/Emme (ticks both the old fashioned and uncommon (in my country) boxes but wonder whether it is too cutesy. All thoughts/suggestions welcomed!

I LOVE the name Cora. Some suggestions are...

    Blythe
    Eloise
    Jane (nn Janie)
    Josephine (nn Josie)
    Hazel
    Hattie
    Sadie
    Lila
    Bette
Elizabeth (several nicknames - I prefer Betsy)

Thanks! I love Lila but DH not convinced (Cora's middle name is Lily so maybe too close to that anyway). Really like Elizabeth but would prefer fewer syllables.

Cora and Pearl is just so sweet!

What do you think of Eliza? Shortens Elizabeth and I think gives it the same quirky spunk that Cora has.
