In my opinion, the K in McKenna does not need to be capitalized. We're talking about a first name here, not a surname. Mc before a capital letter (ex, McGuire, McClain, McIntyre etc) is the short form of Mac which means "son of." To do this for a first name for a girl seems very, very weird and unnecessary.

Also, McKenna is not a "different" name. It is extremely popular and I would highly consider looking into a new name. In a couple decades this name will be extremely dated (like Brenda is now) and one of those "phase names."

I prefer Makenna of the two, so I'm glad you're going with that. McKenna/Makenna seems a bit masculine to me, so I'd go with something feminine in the middle.

    Makenna Joy
    Makenna Sofie
    Makenna Charlotte
    Makenna Lucy
    Makenna Violet
    Makenna Brielle
    Olivia/Livia/Livy/Liv : Thessaly/Darah/Bethel : Noelle/Eve
    Benedict/Eli: Jude/Zane: Luke/Darius : Levi/Phineas/Calvin
