I live in the West Coast of Scotland in a tiny village which has around about 450 people living in it. We only have a shop, a couple of hotels, a bakery, chip shop and that's about it. We are still very traditional and most sons are named after their fathers. They is only about 50 children that go to the primary school and the high school is half an hour away and pupils come from all the surrounding five villages and around 100 people go there. As it's such a small place most people have different names so I will just say some of the ones that come to my mind.

I live in a city of about 30,000 generally low income, high unemployment, a few rich people who finance theaters and such to entertain the other rich folks, and we have very very high number of artists. Basically the industries that supported the growth of our city have disappeared. We are not exactly rural, but a bit, and we have a lot of forest areas. My particular neighborhood is about average for my city, pretty low SES.
kids in my neighborhood :
I notice that the birth announcements for the area have a lot of nature names, like Fern and Sequoia, classic names for boy mostly, so many Williams. Shayla, Charlotte, and Ryder ( maybe for the high # of dirt biker's around here) seem unusually popular
