It feels pretty masculine so I don't really see it on a girl. Mars is a gp but I never thought of it as a nn for Marlowe (I may add it to my list now!)
It's so uncommon that I doubt there would be any resistance to a boy Marlowe.

I also haven't seen it used on girls and VASTLY prefer it on a boy. Marlowe is so masculine sounding to me and it makes me think of Christopher Marlowe.

    For middles, I like:

    Marlowe Fox
    Marlowe Edmund
    Marlowe Alexander
    Marlowe Xavier (pronouncing it x-av-ee-er)
    Marlowe Augustus
    Marlowe Sebastian
    Marlowe Felix
    Marlowe Nathaniel

I don't particularly like it on either gender but I prefer it on girls as I have never heard it on any boys before. If you were to use it I think it would have to be paired with a masculine middle.

Thanks for all the feedback, I definitely think it would have to have a clearly masculine middle name, and im loving Marlowe Fox, Marlowe Nathaniel, Marlowe Augustus and Marlowe Oliver.
Another question, what do you think would make good siblings for a charming little boy Marlowe 'Mars'

I actually prefer it on a boy, but it's nice on either gender.
