    Naming a cat?

    Hi, Berries!

The other day a stray cat wandered into my backyard, and I have foolishly fallen in love with it. The cat is a lovely marmalade color, and very sweet. For now, I do not know it's gender, or whether it will stick around, but I think this cat needs a name! Here are some of my ideas:

    Girls:
    Pemberley (Pride and Prejudice)
    Beatrix (Beatrix Potter)
    Daisy (The Great Gatsby)
    Ophelia (Hamlet)
    Scarlett (Gone With the Wind)

    Boys:
    Hugo (Victor Hugo)
    Atticus (To Kill A Mockingbird)
    Oscar (Oscar Wilde)
    Tennyson (Lord Alfred Tennyson)

I really like historical and literary names. Any suggestions?
    Edward, Fitzwilliam, George, Louis, Peter

    Blythe, Hazel, Phoebe, Sybil, Theodora

If its orange, I think most likely a boy - 75 - 80% of orange cats are male. I like Percival (one of King Arthur's knights of the Round Table).

Feel free to ask me about Sanskrit-based names.

    I like Ophelia and Atticus!
    Some current considerations:

Sylvie Madeleine | Etta Rosalie | Miranda Sylvie | Margot Elspeth | Hazel Matilda
Archer Daniel | Emmett Sebastian | Donovan Ezra | Leo Anderson | Lucian Matteo
