Florence: sweet or just too old ladyish? nicknames?

What do you think of Florence? What nicknames would you use for a Florence?

I'd probably use it with a quite simple middle name (maybe Jane)

I like Florence and prefer it as a middle name.

I quite like the nickname Florrie.

Sweet, definitely sweet. Old ladyish? Maybe, but I don't think it's really a big deal. I'd like to meet a little Florence.
Call me Cynthia, Angie, or Luna. 22. Name nerd.

I like it a lot, it doesn't feel old lady-ish to me.
