Best way to get to Elsie?

I really like Elsie but I prefer it as a nickname rather than a full first name. What's your favorite full name for it? Is it a stretch for Eloise/does Elsa sound too German for an all-American little girl? I don't really like Elizabeth but any other suggestions would be great!

I like Eloise much better than Elsa - Elsa sounds very old fashioned and dated, and is not very pretty in my opinion. Eloise is a beautiful name.

    What about-
    Elisabeth
    Elsbeth
    Elspeth
    Elissa
    Elyssa
    Elisa
    Eliza

Even an El name with a S middle name would work - for example
    Eleanor Sophie
    Elena Sue
    Ellen Sara
    Ellie Sasha
    Ellery Samantha
    Ella Sage

My favorites from these lists are:
    Elisabeth
    Elisa
    Eliza
    Eleanor Sophe
    Ella Sage
    Elle Sasha

I don't like Eloise at all (the wheeze sound makes me hate it) but I think Elsa is quite pretty. Elise would be even better.

I agree with @namelover77, Elsa and Elise are excellent ways to get to Elsie.

I think Elsa is lovely! I also think Elspeth is a gorgeous way to get nn elsie.

I just think of Eloise as Louise with an E in front.
