    I had a Female Art teacher named Darby, I didn't care much for her.

    I knew a girl named Darby also. I think it's pretty cute on a little baby/girl, but not sure it would wear well on an adult.
    Mom to Alexander Patrick (11), Madelyn Esther (8), Genevieve Susan (3), and Theodore James (stillborn at 37 weeks on February 3, 2014). Expecting #5 (a girl) in May 2015 -- Penelope Bridget.

    I always thought of Darby as a boys name till I saw this post. I never liked it but now that I think of it on a girl I kind of do like it

    I really don't think it works well on a girl. It is very masculine, and doesn't sound super attractive to me.

    It's not a very pleasant sounding name, and it makes me think of horses and hats.
