Rge- we cannot put any diacritical marks on official documents like social security forms, passports, etc. Some states will let an occasional accent slide, but they are not allowed on birth certificates either. My future last name has an accent and since we cannot officially use it, my poor fiancé has had his name mispronounced his whole life. It's really annoying.

Sorry blade, didn't mean to hijack your post!

Thanks to everyone for chiming in, I really appreciate it.you've given me lots to think about and I'd like to respond more deeply when I'm on a real computer.

I'm surprised and excited to see how many people think Leander is a great match!

    Congratulations, Blade!

As expected, your list is fantastic. I really love Blaise, Gerard, Lionel, Marius, and Victor as a brother for Antoine. I'm drawn to Ignatius on your middles only list because it has the same fiery feel to it as Raphael.

Leander is a great name. I am surprised it is as underused as it is!
