Looking for medieval clunky germanic names

    Hi Berries!

I’m looking for medieval clunky, preferably germanic in origin, names. Favorites so far are: Hadewych, Roslindis/Roslinde, Mariken, Elsabijn, Dietlinde, Mathilde, Roswitha, Sieglinde and Wendelin. Could you help me find more of these?

    Thanks!

    Thanks namelover!

    I like
    Adalheidis
    Frida
    Godelieve
    Odilia or Ottilie
Swanahilda - but too Swanlike, however it is kind of a family name: my grandmothers name was Swaantina

    I love
Adelais - how is it pronounced? Add-uh-lays? I would pronounce it Ah-duh-lah-ees..

I'm glad you liked it! I've never really posted about medieval names. Adelais is really pretty, isn't it? I think you could pronounce it a few ways: AD-eh-lay, AD-eh-lace (my favorite way to say it) or ad-eh-LAY-iss.
