    Pronounce this name for me...

I'm interested in the name Callan, for my little boy. I'd like to see how you would pronounce it at first glance. I wonder if it matches up with what I have in my head!
Anyone know a male Callan? Thanks for your help.

    A as in Apple.
I'm not feeling incredibly profound at the moment. Check back later.

Cal-ehn (like the start of the way I say Calvin, Calhoun, etc.).

I have a close (female, oddly) friend with this name, and I've never heard anyone say it differently. We live in the US.

Ca-lehn. It's quite popular were I live with spelling variations like Cailean (Scottish Gaelic for Colin), Kallen, Callen and Calean.

I've always heard it as CAL-in. Sort of like Calvin without the "V". Plus, that's how Callen says it in NCIS: LA.
