I've never heard Evelyn pronounced Eve-Lyn nor Ever-Lyn.
I'm from Canada and I've only ever heard it "ev-uh-lyn" (or with the first two syllables combined, almost like "ev-lyn"- always with a short E sound at the start.

I say Eh-va-lyn and am in the U.S. (Texas). It is definitely pronounced differently here than Ever-lyn

I think I am learning to speak with a British accent thanks to Nameberry. Lol. I am learning so much about the accent just from name pronunciation!

uh, none of the above, I'm from the U.S. and every single Evelyn I've met says it like Ev-uh-lyn, maybe when said really fast it sounds like Ev-lynn,...
