    I agree. I think a nn like Birdie can really be used for any name - it is more of a pet name than actually derived from another name. I've heard of it used for Margaret as well.

    It could work! I love the NN Birdie! I had Birdie on my list for a while but decided it was too nicknamey for a first name. It could work as a nickname for Isabella but if you want, you could use a bird related middle name to help get the nickname but it's probably not necessary! I like the previous suggestions of Isabella Lark & Isabella Wren.
