    No- Birdie is way out there. Sorry. Unusual nicknames that I think might work are Isa, Iggy, Zibby and Illa.

    Yes, I think it can work. Birdie is one of those nicknames that's really versatile enough to be used even when it doesn't really go with a specific name.
