out here in the pacific nw we have Mt. Rainier , which I always though might be a nice name (pronounced "Ray-neer")

    What about Raiden?

Rainier is a great suggestion, I was also going to suggest that!

Raymond is my favorite from your original list though

Ha, that's around where I'm from! I thought of Rainier briefly, but it doesn't sound name-y to me.

I think I'm abandoning the whole Ray idea, it was just a temporary interest but my husband doesn't like the nickname Ray very much for any name really. We aren't ttc yet but we already have our girl name 90% likely chosen and I just want a boy name too! But he seems to dislike all boy's names except Warren, which we already named our first son. So needless to say I get excited when he doesn't make fun of a suggestion I make right away . On to more possibilities, I guess.

I actually love Ray as a second half to a double barreled name for a girl!
