Short and strong name for a female scientist

Basically what it says it the title. I need a short, strong-sounding name for a female scientist. My other character's name will be Wilhelmina, and I'd like this name to stand in contrast to it. I want the name to sound "modern," but not really in a trendy way or in a "hundred-years-rule" way. Thanks so much!

Just from reading the title of your post I was thinking Ruth would work...

Now that I've read the post:
    Ruby
    Carter
    Lucy
    Taylor
    Dana
    Sadie
    Parker

Not sure if these are exactly what you're looking for...but they feel very different than Wilhelmina and I could see them all on a scientist!

“I read books when I was a kid, lots of books. Books always seemed like magic to me. They took you to the most amazing places. When I got older, I realized I couldn't find books that took me to all the places I wanted to go. To go to those places, I had to write some books myself.”
― Pat Murphy, The Wild Girls
