    I pronounce it Ee-meel (the same as I pronounce Emil and the beginning of Emilio). I really like the name. I think it's classy and straightforward enough without being overused at all. And I love Emile Hirsch.

    I like both Emile and Emil a lot. I say both as eh-MEEL, although apparently neither is technically pronounced that way, I see? I think it's a strong, classic name with a more sensitive side. I've gone to school with several Emiles (usually spelled with the "E" on the end), and they were all nice guys. I think it'd be refreshing to meet a little Emil(e).
