I once had an online buddy by that name. He pronounced it, e-MEAL/e-MILL. It was the first time I had heard of that name, I don't think I had a Oh, Wow! Cool name type reaction. But I do think it is a bit refreshing.
Just to add, I think the first time I saw his name, I thought it was pronounced, Emily. So maybe you can take that thought into consideration.

I think it's pronounce like Ee-meal or Ee-mill but I'm not sure. I think it's ok but I wouldn't use it.

In french it is pronounced ay-MEEL. It isn't that uncommon where I live. I like it, but it definitely would work better in a french speaking community.Anxiously awaiting the arrival of Luther's little brother November/15!
