    I don't actually know if this is 'correct' or not, but I've known two people named Armand, and they pronounced it similar to ar-MAWND (similar to arm-OHND). I think it's a very excellent name (in fact I just threw it on to my own re-reflect on list, just to be sure it shouldn't make it's way into our top 5). Ari would make a great nickname. Or Awndy/Ondy.
