    I like it. It's pretty, and though I recognize the name, I've never actually met an Elodie. That's a plus for me.

    I think it's a very pretty name.
    But, as already mentioned, the average dork will likely hear it as Melody and she'd spend her life correcting people.
    An alternative worth considering is Eloise.

    I like Elodie but I always wonder if its too close to Melody (which oddly I don't love).
    But as a name nerd how can one not love it? It's soft, has a beautiful romantic lilt to it and is an awesome mix of familiar and exotic.
    newlywed!!! (not trying...yet)
