Thread: Boys Names Blues
May 2nd, 2013 12:41 PM #6
There are some really cool names on this thread. I have to echo what southern.maple said, I much prefer Merrick Levi to Merrick Liam. I was also surprised to see McKay as a suggestion. It's a pretty common place name around where I live (pronounced M-eh-K-EYE rather than m-eh-K-AY) and I'd never considered it as a name, but I think it could be really cool- especially with the nn Kai or Kay. For some reason, I see Kai as the ultimate surfer boy name. Probably from watching bad surf movies. And Kay has that girl name on a boy thing going for it.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I really like these-
Emrys (is this commonly pronounced em Rees or em ris?)
Emery (love love love!)
I will pass these by hubby later!
As for McKay. Not a huge fan. BUT as you were saying you thought it had a different pronounciation. I am from Hawaii and the name Makai is very common (muh-ky). I love that! But we will be choosing a Hawaiian name as a second middle name, as is tradition
Keep suggestions coming!
