Why art thou male, Cymbeline?
What do you think, does this name sound masculine?Excludes my top 7 girls and top 7 boys names.
girls reserve list - Lucia - Ada (adelaide) - Orla - Kitty (katherine) - Irina - Nadia - Nicola - Iris - Petra - Phina (josephina)
boys RL - Caspar - Tristan - Rowan - Charles (not charlie)
Note: Lucia- 'loo-see-a', Irina- 'eye-ree-na'. Official names in brackets and they are just that 'official'.

It is a masculine name for me, but it does have a slightly feminine sound to it.

I wouldn't say comes across as particularly masculine - it has the 'y' that seems to be considered feminine now (probably because we unfortunately see stuck in so many "feminized" versions of boys names these days e.g. Ashtyn, Emersyn, Jaydyn ... *shudders*), the 'line' ending of so many popular girls names (e.g. Madeline, Adeline, Emmeline) and it also has 'bel' in it.
I think you could get away with using it for a girl if you wanted to, as long as you were willing to put up with the occasional, "oh, like the Shakespearean king?".
