I love Ella more, though they are both lovely names.
Twenty-something musician, yogini and name lover who dreams of strolling the boulevards of Paris by day and writing songs by night.

I actually like Ella more, but its soooooo popular. There were at least 5 little Ellas at the kids place I used to work at.

Both names are nice. I prefer Ella because it feels jazzy to me (Ella Fitzgerald). Even though it's popular, it's one I just really like. I like Etta (Etta James) and Nina (Nina Simone) for the same reason.

Violet. Ella is very overdone and it reminds me of elephants. Love Ella Fitzgerald but not because of her name.
